The QWERTY keyboard for my iphone 15 is fully as expected (and I've been a Psion, Palm Treo, Blackberry, HTC, and Sony Clie user) and good and tactile. feed. The spacing for big hands is good, though a bit bunched when you go to get some of the special upper case featurest eg '. Not a big deal. The upper side of the case surrounding the iphone is snug but quite rubbery, so I hope in the long run it continues with it snug position. The entire iphone 15's balance is now quite different because of the long keyboard and somehow it sees a little longer than I expected at about 3.5-4 cms longer than your iphone15...but this is to be expected (it is longer than it seems on the promotions videos). This is why I chose the smaller iphone rather than say Max etc where I expect the device would be akin to carrying a small cricket bat. The current product is longer than the width of your average desktop keyboard....The Customer Service was poor. The Delivery time was worse. CS gaily suggested I order quick in early June in a hope (not assured of course) that my order might get fulfilled early. No such thing and I never got any impression subsequently from anybody in CS that they were bothered expediting for my reasons and answers were abit inane. Delivery was promised to be "late July onwards" and that was that. The shipment turned up in early September to Austria from Singapore Post. I had to pay a small tax component (E15) as well (no quibble). Overall I rate satisfaction as Good but expected significantly better deliverwise so expect long waits. The durability of the product remains to be seen although I am happy to get it although I feel many people will reconsider. The functionality via app support/shortcuts therein looks nice. Main plus is I am more accurate in pressing tactile buttons than jabbing onscreen tiny virtual letters and yes I am largely a one finger operator.
Great product, but unfortunately the keys and balance doesn’t work well well for me. I would also like the keyboard to be heavier or weighted. It made the phone too long and floppy. My hands have some flexibility limitations, so the product just wasn’t right for me.
A modified case with a battery bump, under the keyboard and extending towards the top of the phone, might help the phone’s holding balance with the additional benefit of an external battery pack. Just a thought for a future version.
I finally feel free again
When BlackBerry ceased to exist as a phone, my world fell apart. I just couldn't pull myself together anymore. Now that the iPhone keyboard has appeared, I have regained hope that organization will reign again in the world.
